A not for profit organization registered with Government of Nepal at District Administration Office, Kathmandu and is affiliated to Social Welfare Council of government of Nepal. Action for Conservation and Sustainability has been working in the field of environment and conservation since March, 2008. Being tyro, we are yet to face the convoluted challenges in the field. Nevertheless, our group of graduates have been agile and been galloping with the clear vision of sustainability and environmental protection. ACS with its dictum “Mustering Knowledge for Healthier Environment and Perspicacity of Sustainable Choices” feels the need of organization for the development of integration for biodiversity conservation, environment balance, and for social and economical development. The vision of the ACS is to effort on practice of coordination, integration, and equality for the complete and indispensable things of life, (like water, forest and land) and for the sustainable natural resource conservation and environment protection and to make a positive change on the thinking of ways of conservation. The objectives of the ACS are as follows:
- To develop the conservation and use of land, water and forest in integrated and coordinated way
- To develop techniques for natural resource management and to make it self sustainable.
- To make the local communities aware about the human and natural resources and to encourage them for protection and wise use of resources, find the ways to solve the problems related to resources and to practice participatory conservation.
- To apply scientific natural resource management principle and run programs in local, national and international level.
- To coordinate and network with the local, national and international organizations, having similar interest and thinking to fulfill the goal of the organizations, etc

Activities of the year 2008
- Conducted study on environmental and health impact of Brick Kiln in Bhaktapur district with support from district development committee (DDC)-Bhaktapur.
- Organized Eye and Hygiene check up campaign for primary school students in Bhaktapur District.
- Celebration of Environment Day, 5 June, 2008.
- Organized tree plantation and clean up program in five schools of Bhaktapur district.
- One thousand copies flyer published related to the slogan of World Environment Day 2008. “Kick the Habits: towards a low carbon economy and distributed among school children, teachers and general public.
- Submission of concept note and proposal to different organization.
